Abstract

This case report focuses on germenectomy, a surgery that involves the extraction of developing teeth before they complete their root formation. A case of third molar germenectomy performed prior to orthodontic treatment is presented in detail, explaining in detail the indications for the intervention, the surgical techniques used, the associated benefits and risks. The methodology is based on a complete description of the process, from patient selection and initial clinical evaluation to treatment planning, surgery, hygiene and suturing, postoperative care and case follow-up. The results are based on the case of a 13-year-old patient, where enucleation of the third molar germs was recommended, performing the surgery in a conventional manner and ensuring adequate recovery with the necessary follow-up.
